What do you do after an eMatrix treatment?

Following an eMatrix treatment, you may feel like you have a mild sunburn. If you experience discomfort, you can apply a cold compress or use a fan to blow cool air on your skin.

Twenty-four to 72 hours after treatment, you may notice small pinpoint scabs on the area treated. This is normal and is a sign that your skin is healing. Try to avoid touching these scabs and do not scratch or pick at them as this will delay healing and could result in some scarring. The scabs may last three to seven days and will shed when your skin has healed.

Try to avoid any activities that will heat your body for at least 48 hours after treatment. This includes excessively hot showers, saunas, vigorous exercise, sun exposure, and massages.

To avoid infection, keep your skin clean. Refrain from using any lotion or other skin products for at least 12 hours. After this time, if your skin is feeling dry, tight, or itchy, you may apply skin cream.

Do not use exfoliating scrubs or razors for at least 48 hours after treatment.

Protect treated areas with an SPF 30 or higher sunscreen for at least one month following treatment.
