Often people who have reached their goal weight still don’t have the bodies they want. Aging often inhibits us from losing the extra few pounds in areas that fat naturally falls to. Because of the loss of elasticity from natural degradation, gravity is easily able to pull down pockets of fat.
The lower belly, neck, and behind the arms are a few areas that succumb to excess fat that is difficult to rid of with exercise and diet.
This laser is inserted under the skin and melts the unwanted fat deposits. With regular liposuction, a much larger cuts are required. With this tool, a much smaller incision is required because the fat is melted, not vacuumed out. In turn, there is far less trauma to the skin, minimal downtime, and no required anesthesia.
The Smart Lipo Process
We start by making small incisions in the skin to be able to insert a tube to anesthetize the tissue. We then insert the laser into the same openings and pass the laser over all the areas with excess fat. The laser then melts the fatty deposits. The fat cells naturally come out of the openings. If there is any excess, we are able to go in and suction the small residual amount. Once the fat is completely removed, we use the same laser instrument to heat the back of the skin, which stimulates the production of collagen and tightens the skin. With regular lipo suction, the skin is not rehabilitated and is left loose. Only a single treatment is required for optimal results.
Recovery from Liposuction with Smart Lipo
To help reduce the swelling, the patient will have to wear a compression garment for about 3 to 7 days afterwards, depending on the extent of the procedure. While the fat is immediately relieved from the treated areas, the skin will still need up to 6 months to fully tighten.
Am I Right For Smart Lipo?
The best candidates for Smart Lipo liposuction are people who are within the range of their ideal body weight, in shape, and looking for a simple way to shape their body with a single procedure. This procedure is very helpful for people with excess fat on the hips (love handles), lower stomach, back of the arms (bat wings), neck, and back. It is also very benefitting for women who experience bra overhang. Unlike other skin tightening procedures, no cutting of the skin is required, making it much simpler than traditional methods. Cellulite is caused by fiberous bands that connect the deep tissue to the superficial skin. These connections pull down on the skin from deep layers in the tissue and create bumps and impressions in the skin. The Cellulaze is able to break the fiberous connections and free the skin of the bumpy look of cellulite. The procedure is painless with the application of local anesthesia and requires very minimal downtime afterwards.
How Cellulaze Works for Cellulite Reduction
Only local anesthesia is required for this treatment. We first apply the anesthesia under the skin in the area that is to be treated. In these same incisions, we insert the laser to break the connection of the fiberous bands and melt some of the fat. Once the fat deposits are drained we use this same to laser against the back of the skin to encourage the production of new healthy skin cells and to tighten the skin.
Recovery Cellulaze Cellulite Reduction
Although the fatty cellulite lumps are immediately eliminated after surgery, it takes up to 6 months for the skin to fully smooth and recover. The patient will need to wear a compression garment for swelling but will be able to get back to normal activities within 2 to 3 days of the operation. Pain following the procedure is minimal with light soreness in the treated area(s).
